Every bohío blend starts in the same place: the botanical traditions of the Caribbean, where plants have been medicine, comfort, and daily ritual for generations.
Long before wellness was an industry, Caribbean households kept their remedies in the kitchen. Hibiscus for cooling the body. Lemongrass for settling the stomach. Mint for clearing the head. These were not trends. They were Tuesday.
The plants we build around
Hibiscus. Tart, ruby-red, and unmistakable. Across the Caribbean it is brewed strong, sweetened lightly, and shared cold on hot days. In our Hibiscus Berry blend, it brings the brightness.
Mint. Crushed fresh or steeped dried, mint is the Caribbean answer to a heavy afternoon. Our Moroccan Mint pairs it with green tea for a clean, focused lift.
Warming spices. Cinnamon, clove, and cardamom traveled trade routes into Caribbean kitchens centuries ago and never left. They are the backbone of our Masala Chai, the blend for slow evenings.
Stone fruit and sunshine. Mango and peach carry the flavor of the islands at their ripest. Mango Treat and Peach Paradise are summer in a cup, whatever the calendar says.
Wildcrafted and whole leaf
We use whole loose leaves and real botanicals, never dust or artificial flavoring. You can see every ingredient in the cup, because there is nothing to hide.
A bohío is a traditional Taíno dwelling: simple, open, and built from what the land provides. We named our teas for that spirit. Every blend is an invitation to step inside, sit down, and stay a while.
